BLOOD TRIBE POLICE SERVICE
Blood Tribe is Canadas largest Indian reserve with more than 12 000 members. The reserve has its own Police Department called Blood Tribe Police Service. They tend to all police errands within the reserve. Since the reserve is very large, they need effective and secure ways of connecting and working from a remote location, while securing the connectivity of their squad cars that are in constant motion.
Blood Tribe Police Service needed to upgrade their VPN servers and client software to a new and more stable infrastructure.
Karl was assigned as the technical project manager, coordinated all communication and tasks between the business partner executing the upgrade, and Sectra's developers and support organization.
Other responsibilities:

- Ongoing follow-ups.
- Documenting and handover.

MINDRUM PRECISION
Mindrum Precision is a manufacturer of advanced precision components aimed mainly for the US military and the aerospace sector.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Mindrum needed a secure way of remotely connecting to their on-prem servers. Due to heavy security regulations, they needed a system that could live up to their quality standards alongside the requirements of fulfilling all security regulations.
During the project Karl had several roles. He acted as the Technical Pre-Sale during the whole sales cycle, delivering all presentations and demonstrations and answering the initial RFP.
Next stage was the Technical Project Manager and lead for the pilot installation as well as deploying the live system. He coordinated all activities between Sectra and Mindrum personnel.

CITY OF WICHITA
In the City of Wichita, by the river of Arkansas lives approximately 500.000 people. The Wichita Police Department was evaluating a new VPN solution to help secure and stabilize squad car connections.
Karl was the lead project manager for the POC and the Pilot installation of the VPN Solution, that was to be tested by Wichita Police Department and mainly in their squad cars. The project was a part of a larger project, aiming to create a platform for secure connectivity to all of City of Wichita’s employees.
Included in the job:
